Parking Pawl External Unit
The AxiLine Parking Pawl Tester w/TDAC Control is an electro-mechanical system for use with AxiLine Dyno model 97000-ECRHTC. The system applies a given rotating force to the output shaft of the transmission to test the parking pawl mechanism. Force is applied by a double acting hydraulic cylinder through a specially designed actuator. The actuator rides on the load unit shaft with no interference while the dyno is in other test modes. For the parking pawl test, the actuator is connected to the load cell shaft by a hydraulic brake system. This system uses the same power unit as the hydraulic cylinder. It is a completely separate system from the dyno stall brake system. The actuator allows the regulation of pressure to control the rotating force applied to the transmission output shaft. The relationship of pressure to force is linear. The parking pawl tester works with the existing stall brake system for use in front wheel drive transmissions. The stall brakes on the opposite load unit are locked to prevent the other output shaft from rotating during the test.
